These are my Macro pictures i think i captured some strong and different textures i think my bottom two are the strongest. i adjusted the color and shadows on all of them, how well do you think i did macro?

I tried to make myself blend into the surroundings in photoshop with these pictures and i think it was pretty successful. I tooke 2 pictures off a tripod and layered them together and lowered the opacity on the one with me so it looks kind of like i'm a ghost. I'm emulating Liu Bolin and how he paints himself to blend into his surroundings.

These pictures i'm trying to emulate Nadav Kanders Portraits, I know these arent like the pictures i have of his on my blog but he has some portraits in this style. I'm trying to convey how we are consumed by our technology. I used a 6 second exposure for these pictures

My second artist is Nadav Kander. His Yangtze River project really interests me because it show how humans are constantly changing our environment with our group conciousness that we need to rape and plunder the Earth of all her resources and the rich need to continue to get more and more to become what they consider the "best" with owning material things and exploiting people. I'm going to try to illustrate how we are doing this in my emulation pictures

My first artist is Liu Bolin, his studio was shut down by the Chinese government so in protest of this he paints himself to camaflouge him into his surroundings to give his opinion that a persons individuality, creativity and ideas are made invisible by the government and this to him means that people are made invisible. I'm going to try to take a few of his ideas and represent them in my photos, no I'm not painting myself.

My first picture follows the rule of thirds because the very contrasty metal trees are in the top third while all of the words are on either the side or botom third. My second picture also follows this composition because the telephone pole is on the left third the wire in the top and the bottles at the intersection of the right and top creating a focal point. I color corrected both of my pictures. In the first I added film grain and poster edge filters to make the rusted metal a more dominante focal area. In my second I added a light source, darkened the bottles to make more contrast and made a vinette. I wanted to convey that at the rate we are using up and treating our environment as expendable were going to burn it all out and we won't last but nature will always be there so in a sense either way nature is coming, we as people either need to embrace it and not take it for granted or we'll use it up and remove ourselves from it. Nature will always be there and without treating it right we'll be removed by our own deconstruction of our world. What do you think of my message and how I conveyed it?
